Danish Khan rose to fame with his mega hit Documentary film “Osmania University- a forgotten legacy to be re- discovered” which won an International Award in the year 2019. He earlier had stolen the heart of many viewers and reached a larger number of audiences with his exceptional direction in his Short film “Aatankwadi Kaun”. But nothing comes as easy and smooth as an accomplishment because a lot goes behind that, just like to reach the best at times we need to go through the worst. Danish’s journey also began with a topsy turvy ride before the huge breakthrough.
Hailing from Hyderabad, Danish Khan was often demoralized for his unattractive and average looks in various acting institutes. But, his passion of accomplishing something in life had never allowed him to give up despite numerous rejections. Danish is known as a self-made and self-educated Film maker with no professional degree in Filmmaking. He is the founder of the Short Film Industry in Telangana. His passion for Film making began with his theatre days and it is only because of his dedication and determination, not just one he kept on adding several feathers in his cap after the success of documentary film “Tragedy of Hyderabad” Needless to say it’s all about time, can take a huge turn at any moment.
After a niche of complete two years, Danish is gearing up to shoot for his Web series which is a “dramedy” and can be tentatively streamed on the reputed OTT – MX Player. Reportedly, the pitch deck of the screenplay impressed two of the Reputed OTT platforms which brought excitement to the makers.
The Web series comprises six episodes with some known faces of Bollywood in pivotal roles along with the fresh talent. The story is written by RJ Shadab who is also a newcomer and Khan is more happy and confident to give opportunity to the newcomers. The music is composed by Dilshad Al Attas.
The series will be ready to be premiered by the end of this year, starring 2 actresses in the lead role .
They had faced a few challenges in sourcing the right talent because most of the actors they auditioned were either TikTok fame or Influencers. The team is on a lookout for some who are passionate about acting, teamed with dedication towards the art. The one who keeps the passion for acting and wants to make a career in the Film Industry then it’s a one-time wonderful opportunity for male and female both to undertake their luck in acting and shine on for the remainder of their life.
Danish Khan had won several National and International awards at various Film Festivals globally for his exceptional art in film making. Not just in film making, he has earned several accolades in social work as well. Being a bundle of talent, Danish is also known for contribution in the field of social development where he runs an NGO in the name of ‘Holding hands Foundation’. In one such instance he rescued a 19 year old girl from Hyderabad in Mumbai within 12 hours without taking any help from the police department. When asked about how he managed to gather courage and what if he failed? He confidently replied with such a charged reply that it kept everyone’s mouth open “I have never learned to fail in any sphere of life despite numerous adversities and one thing that kept me going and landed up in a position where I am today is my CONFIDENCE. My intentions are always pure with what I have been doing so far in life and could be due to that, I am successfully loved in all my films and bagged several national and International Awards in every film festival”. Danish understands the pain every newcomers face in the entertainment Industry as he also struggled a lot to blossom his career in the Industry. He is always on a lookout for a fresh talent and give them a chance for all the deserving new comers. Khan does not want other deserving newcomers to face that struggle which he had faced and gone through in his initial days.
