About the Author
Bijaya Kumar Nayak is a research scholar, Currently pursuing Ph.D. at Nabakrushna Choudhury Centre for Development Studies (NCDS), Bhubaneswar (an Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR), institute with collaboration of Government of Odisha and a nodal centre of Utkal University) under Utkal University. Simultaneously, he is also engaged in the socio-economic development of the poor tribal communities through social sector where he coordinates with various national and international projects in on agriculture development from Eastern India. He is also one of the recipients of Netherlands Fellow Programme (NFP) for participating in a short- term course conducted by Wageningen Centre for Development Innovation at Mekerere University of Uganda, East Africa.
Bijaya is a native of Andhia village of Bhadrak District of Odisha, India. He is the youngest son of his parents. He has completed his schooling at the village as well as intermediate at Dharanaidhar Jr.(Auto) College, Keonjhar. He is a Bachelor of Science graduate in Chemistry from BJB College, Bhubaneswar. He further studied Post-Graduate Diploma in Development Management with support of two years full fellowship from the Tata-Dhan Academy, Madurai. After completion of his PGDDM, he got an opportunity to work for agriculture development across India. Moreover, he also completed has two Masters in Rural Development as well as Master in Public Administration from IGNOU, New Delhi. He did M.Phil in Tribal Studies from the Council of Analytical Tribal Studies (COATS) under Berhampur University.
Besides writing novels, he also conducts many workshops and capacity building programs especially for youth, farmers and social entrepreneurs across India. Many of his articles have been published nationally and internationally. He makes an attempt to preserve the traditional culture and values in his writing and strives to bring positive changes through strong and valuable messages to society.
