Delhi NCR based NGO Hope Begins Foundation is doing a great work by not just feeding the stomach but also the brain. These days they are seen distributing laptops to those students who are really keen to study but not able to afford a laptop. Recently Hope Begins Foundation & ARK Team was seen handing over laptops to some students in Ghaziabad. Nobody can deny that education is one such root cause of many or almost all problems. Hope Begins Foundation & team realized this and decided to do something about it. While they already have their running projects of helping poor children with educational support, this time they took a step ahead and extended their support to those students who are bright in studies but are not able to do further studies for financial reasons.
In this campaign ARK Infosolutions Pvt. Ltd. came ahead and donated laptops to Hope Begins Foundation as a part of their welfare causes and it was distributed among students in Ghaziabad (Uttar Pradesh). ARK Infosolutions Pvt. Ltd. is a IT based Company which has operations all over India. ARK Infosolutions is doing many welfare causes activities and will do more such type activities with Hope Begins Foundation in the coming future. They distributed laptops to 54 students. These are used laptops but are in good condition for use. Out of 300 applications that came for the demand of these laptops, there was a screening process as laptops were limited. 54 out of these 300 were those who passed a basic screening test conducted by the Hope Begins Foundation.
Puneet from Delhi is interested to get into Science stream after his 12th. He needed a laptop to attend his classes online. His father’s income was hardly enough to pay for his school fees. A laptop was out of the question seeing his family’s financial status. But when he received his laptop from the foundation he was jumping out of joy. He said there were times when he would watch other students attending online classes and he was just hopeful that he will also study like them one day. Now he feels that the day has finally arrived, thanks to Hope Begins Foundation.
When asked about why Hope Begins Foundation decided to distribute laptops, they said that their aim is to help with education. But in today’s world education is incomplete without technology. Laptop is one such basic technological tool to study or to work in a corporate. After Covid most schools take classes online. Many students are not able to attend their classes because they don’t have a laptop. And it is not only for their study, even if they go for a job after they finish education they need a laptop. Even a basic entry level job requires employees to work on MS Excel, MS Word and Emails. These things are not possible without a laptop or Desktop.
Hope Begins Foundation was started in 2017 and created a big impact in the society in a very short time. Hope Begins was also noticed by big brands and renowned personalities who have appreciated their work. Testimonials of many such personalities can be seen on their website (www.hopebegins.org.in). With just a few people as the core team working together, now the organization is growing in terms of team size as well. It is adding more people to it’s team, and more and more volunteers are getting associated with it as well. People are excited to work with Hope Begins Foundation and are also looking forward to collaborating with them.
Looking at a little background of the foundation, it was started by 3 friends Pranav Mishra, Shoaib Ali and Bitupan Baruah. With it’s head office in Delhi NCR they have volunteers across the country. Their projects include Let’s End Hunger Together, Cricket for Differently abled, Financial support during medical emergencies and supporting education of poor children. During Covid they distributed 30 lacs meals to the underprivileged and the labourers. Their work was recognized by many people and got a lot of media attention. They organized multiple cricket tournaments for the differently abled players in various parts of the country.
This was a very new experience for Hope Begins Foundation because earlier they had been distributing Food, Clothes, Medicines and Educational materials like Books, Uniforms etc. It’s the first time they distributed laptops. They realized that there is a lot of potential among these students but they are not able to due to lack of support. The NGO is planning to do something big in the near future with more laptops for more such deserving students.
