Sagar Nama: India’s Rising Pro Wrestling Superstar

Dalip Singh Rana, aka The Great Khali of India, who has played a significant role in World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE), may have said goodbye to the WWE, but his name is still discussed with respect. 

In the WWE, Khali’s name has once again been discussed in the discussion. This time in the Khali discussions has come to a disciple who is going to step into New Japan Pro Wrestling (NJPW) soon.

The name of this disciple of Khali is Sagar Nama, identified by his ring name Ben Jacks, who has been selected in NJPW, JAPAN. Sagar is a trained Professional Wrestler. He has six years of experience as an Independent Professional Wrestler.

Sagar has trained under the guidance of The Great Khali in Continental Wrestling Entertainment (CWE). He has played more than 80 matches so far, out of which he has won more than 65 matches. He has also been trained by various coaches from USA & CANADA, including Matt Xstatic, Ethan HD, Neon Ninja Facade and Xavier Justice. 

During his career, he got injured many times, and some injuries were serious. He tore his shoulder cuff rotator, dislocated back, muscle tear, dislocated elbow etc. He used to face a lot of pain due to these injuries and had made up his mind about giving up and leaving professional wrestling forever.

But his American Coach, Ethan HD, inspired him. Sagar recalls his words and says, “There is no wrestling without pain”. These words and his coach’s guidance motivated him, and now he is an established & popular Professional Wrestler in India. 

His workout regime & diet schedule is very strict. He does hours of workouts in the gym & wrestling ring to stay in shape and gain strength. His dream is to become NJPW/WWE World Heavyweight Champion. His favourite wrestler is Bill Goldberg. 

In India, he has wrestled under CWE, RWE, AWE, HWF & WRESTLEWOOD in front of more than 50,000 – 80,000 live crowds per show. The Great Khali and his foreign coaches are very impressed with his performance, and they are confident that Sagar will take Professional Wrestling to a very high level. By the end of this year, he is all set to join New Japan Pro Wrestling in Tokyo, Japan. 

On his selection in NJPW, Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh Shri. Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Governor of Madhya Pradesh Shri. Mangubhai C. Patel, Medical Education Minister of Madhya Pradesh Shri. Vishvas Sarang and Higher Education Minister of Madhya Pradesh Shri. Mohan Yadav congratulated him and gave their blessings and well wishes.

He is well known for his mysterious, innovative & vintage wrestling style. He is the only professional wrestler in India to use the mysterious Japanese move “Green Mist”. During his schooling days, he always wanted to be a sportsperson. He has played various sports, including Cricket at U-19 International Level against Nepal and Handball at State & National levels. He has also learned the Japanese Language, in which he has cleared N5 & N4 levels.

His success mantra is – HARDWORK, DEDICATION & SACRIFICE. It will be interesting to see how well he performs and represents his country India in Japan.
