Harish Soni: Embrace Self-Belief, Ignore Others’ Opinions!

I am my own inspiration, it may sound like I am being self-obsessed, but it’s a fact. When I wake up every day, I have a zest to make it big and strive hard. I want to bring an impact on people’s lives, and that drive in me encourages me to go that extra mile.

  1. Tell us about your background and journey.

My journey has been quite exciting. I hail from Nohar and then started working online, which was tough amidst all the competition. I started strong, and once I had a stronghold in the online market, I am fortunate that I am able to do this worldwide. Lots of planning, hard work, and execution were required.

  1. What has been the inspiration behind starting your company, and how did you come up with it?

I am my own inspiration and my brother too, it may sound like I am being self-obsessed, but it’s a fact. When I wake up every day, I have a zest to make it big and strive hard. I want to bring an impact on people’s lives, and that drive in me encourages me to go that extra mile. I always wanted to be a businessman where I am my own boss. Everyone works; it depends on how you work. Some work hard, and some work smart.

  1. What has been the most challenging part of your job?

Challenges are a part of life. Setting up a whole new business of silver jewellery called silveradda.com online itself was challenging. The moment the thought came, I felt uncomfortable as to how will it happen. But I believed in myself, and my brother helped me a lot. Here I am.

  1. Where do you see yourself and your company in 10 years? What is the vision?

Well, honestly, I haven’t thought about it. I strive daily. This pandemic came, and we all faced so much loss. But during the pandemic, I started Heytech, through which I learned a lot about marketing. There were many plans that I made. But now, it’s better to work hard and go with the flow as life is unpredictable.

  1. How to deal with failure, and how can one minimize the unknowns?

As I previously answered. Have short-term vision and goals. This can be achieved, and you can take baby steps rather than long jumps. I could have just jumped from Smalltown Nohar to Worldwide. But Rajasthan became my playground for trial and error and lots of learning.

  1. Can you share some advice for aspiring entrepreneurs?

Believe in yourself, don’t give a damn about what others think because it’s you who has to deal with your bills, not them.

  1. What is your mantra for success?

Do it with passion, or not at all. If you are really passionate about what you do, then you are unstoppable.
